Coach Dave Tippett apparently has been rewarded for leading the Stars to the Western Conference finals.
The Dallas Morning News reported Saturday that Tippett has agreed to a three-year extension that the team will announce next week. The new deal would keep Tippett under contract with the club through the 2010-11 season.
?We have an agreement in principle,? Stars co-GM Les Jackson told the Morning News. ?We?re 99 percent there. I don?t think we play again until next September, so we have a little bit of time.?
